| Description | MINING FROM RECYCLED WASTE IN AFRICA 41 million metric tonnes of electronic waste worth £34billion is discarded in Africa annually. A large part of this waste comprises old PCs from Europe and Australia as those responsible for the discarding them find that it is cheaper to dump the electronics than to recycle them properly in the European Union. The burst obtained from this crowd fund will create an awareness program that will introduce African youth to burst mining and also assist in promoting the upcycling of electronic waste both within Europe and Africa. This will in turn develop an interest in information technology applications and subsequently employment for these young and old minds. How do I know this? I am a Kenyan electrical engineer working in the development of renewable energy in the UK with work in Africa in converting waste to useful materials.
